I attended the Boom Days event in Leadville on Saturday Aug. 8th. Lots to see. They had a car show going on that had a lot of interesting and beautiful cars present. Three side streets of vendors. The beer garden had an irish band playing (which was pretty sweet!). Lots and Lots of food to try from.
On the Court house lawn they had a band playing along with plenty of activities for the kids to enjoy. I definatly recommend this event to anyone who would be in the area. Only piece of advice would be to get your room reservations well in advance for I had to stay in Buena Vista (35 miles south of Leadville) because I tried to get a hotel room a week before my arrival and they were all full.
